Middle School

Mrs. Fischer took the 6th grade Wellness class on their first Community Service outing of the year on Friday, November 15.  The 7th grade language teachers graciously excused their students so that they could join the 6th graders at the new Granby Free Public library at 297 East State Street.  Twenty-five MacDuffie students and three faculty members were met in front of the new Granby Library by some current parents and were quickly put to work.  A group of five students stayed inside to help catalog books and work in the new teen room, while the rest of the group bundled up for landscaping work outdoors.  Armed with buckets, wheelbarrows, pitchforks and rakes, the students worked together to add mulch to the new flower beds surrounding the building.  It was a satisfying afternoon helping the Granby community!
