40-Game Win Streak for GVS

Girls’ Varsity Soccer added another feat to the team’s impressive list of accomplishments: a 40-game winning streak.

The wins (40+ as of this writing) go all the way back to the 2014 season and include two NEPSAC Championships.

“They say winning is a great habit to have, and I agree that winning can help to increase confidence,” says Athletic Director and Girls’ Varsity Soccer Coach Meirion George. “But for the MacDuffie Girls soccer team, their main focus in each game is to play good soccer. The combination of talent, hard work, and at times that extra bit of desire, has enabled us to win games.  While others may focus on our win record, we are conscious that winning is not everything, so we will keep doing our best and let the performances determine our success.”

Three players also made the Western New England All-Stars this year: Ala Legowski ‘19, Ania Ludkiewicz ’19, and Emilee Auclair ‘18.

Keep up the awesome work, Mustangs!
