Boys’ Varsity Soccer Earns Third Seed at NEPSSA Tournament

The MacDuffie Boys’ Varsity soccer team finished their regular season 11-3 in league action.

The team won the CISAC League championship title and has qualified for its third consecutive NEPSSA (New England Preparatory School Soccer Association) tournament.

MacDuffie, who earned the third seed, will start their playoff bid Wednesday afternoon against the sixth seed, New York Military Academy.

The game starts at 2:00 pm on MacDuffie’s home field.

The winner of tomorrow’s game will advance to the semi-final round on Saturday, November 16th, where they will play the winner of the Rocky Hill School (2nd seed) vs. Christian Heritage (7th seed) game.  The championship game will be played at Loomis Chafee School in Windsor, CT on Sunday, November 17th.

In addition to earning their way to the NEPSSA tournament, several players were also selected to the New England Boys Soccer All-Star Teams.

Ege Basaran (defense) and Keymo Hoshing (midfield) were chosen for the Senior All-Star Team. Goalkeeper Joe Varney was selected for the Junior All-Star Team.

Both the Junior and Senior All-Star games are also held on Sunday, November 17th at Loomis Chafee.
