Alexandra Guilamo, Founder, CEAO TaJu Educational Solutions led a dynamic conversation with MacDuffie students, faculty, and staff at the invitation of our MOSAIC club. Ms. Guilamo is a 'social justice warrior, bilingual educator with a passion and evidence for engaging and partnering with schools to systematically strategically plan for equity and the success of multilingual learners. Commitment to program models, policy changes, and strategies designed to ensure students are valued, affirmed, and have access to schools that remove barriers to success in education and life. Lifelong equity disruptor...' Guilamo encouraged all of us to be curious of the bubbles of others we encounter rather than resisting them. We participated in an Exemption Walk exercise to expose some of the things we experience differently than others. Thank you to MOSAIC leader Janelle '23 for making this guest speaker possible and to Ms. Guilamo for her time and presentation.
