Parent Association

Greetings from The MacDuffie School Parent Association! The Parent Association is a volunteer-driven group that assists the school by providing a Wish List Fund, helping connect families, providing volunteer support for school activities, and connecting families to campus activities and news while helping to facilitate communication between the school and families. Volunteering for or attending Parent Association events are good ways to meet other parents or guardians and make friends and connections. All parents and guardians of a MacDuffie student are automatically members. Consider getting involved; there is always an important role for you to play. Parent Association members take part by:

  • Participating in campus activities

  • Supporting and encouraging students

  • Being part of our fundraising activities

  • Sharing ideas to enrich campus life

You will see us volunteering during various school activities throughout the school year. At the annual back-to-school Ice Cream Social, we welcome new and current families and answer questions about being a part of the MacDuffie community. We offer support during theater productions, music, and dance performances by selling tickets and concessions. We also host an annual faculty and staff breakfast during National Teacher’s Appreciation Day and hold special events, like our yearly sock drive in October, Socktober! Due to our efforts each year, we have provided a gift for each of the graduating seniors and the eighth graders during their Rite of Passage ceremony before entering the Upper School. All of MacDuffie Parent Association’s funding comes from donations, fundraising events, and sales. We are 100% volunteer-run and do not collect membership dues. If you would like to donate, please contact us.

Meetings are typically held during the third week of each month at 6:30PM in Room 2203, across from Mr. Griffin’s office. Meeting dates will be announced in the weekly Friday Mailbag.
