Baseball

In the Spring of 2019, MacDuffie added a new interscholastic sport–baseball.  With the formation of the baseball team, MacDuffie also constructed a baseball diamond for its sports fields in the Spring of 2019. Baseball will take a hiatus for the 2024 season, but will return next year.

Coach Lopez will enter into his first year as head coach while he rebuilds in preparation for the 2025 season.

Badminton

The competitive Badminton team at the MacDuffie School began as an after school club, run by a small group of very interested players. In 2012, a coach was hired and the team became a popular athletic team option for the spring season. This large team of mostly international students train throughout the spring and have the opportunity to participate as part of the Massachusetts High School Badminton League (MHSBL) tournament.T

Golf

Based on the interest in the golf club in 2014, MacDuffie was happy to introduce the Golf Team in 2015.  The coed golf team is a fifth-year program open to experienced players and those interested in improving their game. They compete against other area prep schools and in the CISAC Championship.

Coach Wood returns as the coach for the Golf team, as he continues his positive work with us in addition to being the Head Girls Varsity Soccer Coach.

Girls Varsity Softball

Tennis

The MacDuffie Tennis Program includes over 30 competitive players that make up several teams. The Boys’ team and Girls’ team both compete against other New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) schools.; the Co-ed Varsity team competes in the South Eastern New England (SENE) League. We also offer sub-varsity boys’, girls’ and co-ed teams that spend training time working on basic skill development and learning about the game. Fitness and conditioning are stressed, as is good sportsmanship and having fun! Giridhar "Gid" Clark is the tennis coach. Gid was the Assistant Women's tennis coach at Boston University, and has been an Assistant Director at the Harvard and Williams summer tennis camps.

Ultimate Frisbee

What began as an after school club by a group of talented students in 2009, the MacDuffie Ultimate team has turned into one for the more popular Varsity athletic options at MacDuffie. The Mustangs are able to field a full Varsity team and JV/Middle School team, and compete in games against local public and private schools, as well as attending larger tournaments throughout the spring.

Every spring the MacDuffie community looks forward to a favorite tradition – the annual MacDuffie Faculty vs. Ultimate Frisbee team game. Many recent graduates return to campus to participate in the MacDuffie Alumni vs. MacDuffie Varsity team on that same day.
