Boys’ Varsity Soccer

Boys’ Varsity soccer has a strong tradition at MacDuffie. The Mustangs compete in Class D of NEPSAC (New England Prep School Athletic Council) as well as in the smaller SENE (South East New England) league. The team has consistently been a competitive top-contender in the NEPSAC tournament.

MacDuffie Boys’ Varsity soccer won the SENE championship in 2017 as well as competed in the NEPSAC New England Semi-Finals. The team regularly earns a playoff spot (top 8), and each year several players are selected to the New England Junior and Senior All-Star Teams.

The entire MacDuffie Soccer program focuses on three levels of development: individual soccer skills and knowledge, individual fitness and conditioning, and tactical awareness and team cohesion.

Girls’ Varsity Soccer

The MacDuffie Girls’ Varsity Soccer team competes in Class C of NEPSAC (New England Prep School Athletic Council) as well as in the smaller SENE league (South Eastern New England). The Mustangs have incredible talent and anticipate a continued growth in the next few years as our players mature and strengthen their core.

MacDuffie Girls’ Varsity Soccer won the Class C New England Championship in 2018 and 2017, as well as the Class D New England Championship in 2014 and again in 2015. In 2016, the team achieved over 40 consecutive wins spanning three seasons and was seeded #1 in the Class C tournament, making it to the semifinals.  Each year, several players are selected as Western New England and New England All-Stars.

Cross Country

The MacDuffie Varsity Co-ed Cross Country team has established itself as one of the stronger fall sports. A member of NEPSAC (New England Prep School Athletic Council) and the smaller CISAC league (Connecticut Independent Schools Athletic Conference), the Mustangs have a rich tradition of sending runners on to the New England Championship meet. The Mustangs take advantage of their spacious surroundings with a home course that takes the runners through the thick pine forest on campus. Practices incorporate whole body workouts and team-building cohesion, making a supportive Varsity program for both new and returning athletes.

Girls’ Volleyball

The MacDuffie Girls’ Varsity Volleyball team has seen an upward trend over the past few seasons. As interest in this sport has increased, so has the dedication and commitment from the athletes. MacDuffie is a Class C school in the New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC).  Our JV team, open to all, prepares student-athletes for varsity-level play through skill acquisition and an understanding of game rules and strategy.
